Terms & Refund Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Embify (“Embify”, “we”, “us”), available at embify.ai, and any embroidery files you create with it. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Embify.

1. What Embify does

Embify is an online tool that converts images and vector artwork into machine-ready embroidery files (such as PES, DST, JEF, EXP, XXX and VP3) and shows a preview of the stitch-out. It runs in your web browser; there is nothing to install.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the converter. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Each account may be used on one device at a time, except on the Enterprise plan, which allows multiple devices. Please give us accurate information when you sign up.

3. Free to digitize and preview

Every account can digitize artwork and preview the result for free, with no credit card required, including the full realistic 3D sew-out and stitch-by-stitch simulation. Downloading a machine file is paid: either a pay-as-you-go single download (£5) or an active monthly plan. Accounts created before 17 July 2026 that were offered a free download keep it.

4. Plans, credits and billing

5. Refunds & money-back guarantee

14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with Embify, email us within 14 days of your payment and we will refund you in full, provided you have not downloaded any embroidery files (i.e. you have not used any of your conversions or credits) since that payment.

Because a downloaded embroidery file is the finished digital product, once a file has been downloaded that download (or the credit/allowance it used) has been delivered and is not refundable. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have that cannot be waived.

To request a refund, contact us at stan@embify.ai or via the contact page with the email address on your account.

6. Your artwork and the files you create

You keep all rights to the artwork you upload and to the embroidery files Embify produces from it. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any artwork you upload, including logos, trademarks and copyrighted designs. You must not upload artwork you are not allowed to use.

We process your uploads only to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your designs.

Owning your artwork and files does not give you any rights in the Embify service or the methods behind it, and does not allow you to use those files or the service to do anything restricted in Section 7 (for example, to reverse-engineer how Embify works or to train a competing tool).

7. Acceptable use

Please use Embify only for what it's for: creating embroidery files from artwork you're allowed to use. You must not do any of the following, or help anyone else do them:

8. Intellectual property and protection of the Engine

The Embify service, website, software, and the Engine belong to us (or our licensors). That includes its algorithms, models, stitch-generation methods, source code, and know-how. They're protected by copyright, database rights, and the law of confidence and trade secrets, and the methods behind the Engine are our confidential information and trade secrets.

While your account is in good standing, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose under these terms. We can withdraw it, and we don't grant any rights beyond that; anything not expressly given here stays with us.

As set out in Section 6, you still own the artwork you upload and the embroidery files Embify makes for you, and you can use those files for your own embroidery. That ownership doesn't extend to the Engine or how it works.

We may add non-personal provenance markers to the files the service produces, so we can tell where a file came from and spot misuse. Please don't remove or tamper with them.

9. Enforcement and remedies

Breaking Sections 7 or 8 is a serious breach of these terms. If that happens, we may suspend or close your account straight away, with or without notice, and take any other steps the law allows.

Copying, reverse-engineering, scraping, or misusing the Engine or our confidential information can cause us harm that money alone can't fully put right. So, as well as any other remedy, we may ask a court to step in and stop it, and recover our reasonable costs of doing so.

10. Availability and “as is”

We work hard to keep Embify running and to produce good results, but the service is provided “as is”. Embroidery outcomes depend on your artwork, chosen settings, fabric and machine, so we cannot guarantee a specific stitch-out. We recommend reviewing the preview, and stitching a test, before production.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Embify is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for wasted materials or machine time. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the latest version, and continued use of Embify after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
